Shankar Sharma - Chief Executive Officer
Shankar has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector. Shankar worked with AFS from 1997 to 1999 and re-joined the company as CFO and MLRO in 2003 and in July 2007 assumed the CEO position. Prior to joining AFS, he held senior management positions with National Commercial Bank, Saudi Arabia for five years and spent four years working for a leading European Bank in Canada with his last position as Senior Vice President, Finance for North American Operations.
Shankar Sharma is a MBA from University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business, U.K., Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualified from Delaware State Board of Accountancy and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is also a Cost and Management Accountant from Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (AICWA).

Adnan Al Maskati - Assistant to CEO
Adnan joined AFS back in 1997 with a wide banking and retail experience and knowledge. He also has over 18 years of experience as an Information Technology Specialist.
Adnan has comprehensive knowledge of various card payment industry aspects from both technical and business sides. His experience in the payment industry includes managing different card programs (Visa, MasterCard, Cirrus and American Express) for both debit and credit networks. Adnan was a key member in the National Switch Committee that was formulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain to establish and set up the ‘BENEFIT’ switch that links all the local banks.
Within AFS, Adnan achieved the successful migration of some banks mega portfolio to AFS, and introducing new technology and business initiatives such as EMV, Acquiring Processing and Payment Gateways. |

Mansour Djebli - Head of Operations
Mansour has over 17 years experience in full project life cycle for systems development, products deployment and service delivery gained in global companies. Mansour brings a wealth of payment industry knowledge and process improvements. He has successfully led international cross-functional teams and multi-million dollar high risk projects in complex environments.
Mansour has worked for American Express Technologies for over 11 years where he led the implementation, integration and migration of various global systems and was key to the establishment of the Finance IT Development group responsible for servicing the Finance Resource Centre EMEA region.
He also led implementation of the Imaging and Workflow initiative undertaken by American Express Finance in EMEA and India. Mansour combines both business and technical knowledge with a broad experience in finance, process re-engineering, programme management, EMV, workflow, electronic document and record management, and web technologies in general. |

Ebrahim Jassim - Financial Controler
Ebrahim has more than 15 years of experience in payments industry and joined AFS Finance team in 1996. In addition to the Financial Controller role, Ebrahim has MLRO role of AFS.
Ebrahim comes with a wealth of knowledge in Accounting, Investment and Cash Management. He served in American Express Middle East and was a key player in the team managing the project to automate the Customer Receipt Collection system in EMEA offices. Ebrahim holds diploma in IFRS study and pursuing his a CMA professional certification program. |

Partha Saha – Senior Manager, Business Development
Partha has over 15 years of experience in the Payment Card business in various capacities in the Middle East and India.
He has worked closely with card associations, card issuers, banks, regulators, retailers and petroleum companies and has been actively engaged in development of new solutions and services for them. Partha has successfully led multi-cultural sales and operations teams. Prior to joining AFS in 2008, Partha was General Manager-Sales & Marketing with Venture Infotek Global, a leading payment transaction processing company in India, where he played pivotal role in the strategic business development of the company.
Partha is a Computer Science Graduate from National Institute of Technology, Calicut , India. |

Hasan Al Rashedi - Head of IT Infrastructure
Hasan comes with a very strong IT background and excellent organisational skills. He has over 10 years of experience in all technology areas like variety of hardware platforms, network architectures, storage, voice technology, and telecommunications. His management experience includes working with multinational organisations doing program and project management, managing the IT operations, and setting up the IT organisation involving both people as well as the technology infrastructure.
He joined Euronet Middle East - a subsidiary of AFS - in 2005 as Manager IT and Infrastructure and was promoted to Head of IT for both JV partner organisations AFS and Euronet Middle East.
Hasan worked for HSBC Bank heading the Office Automation department, Bahrain Stock Exchange in which he took a leading role in setting up the new IT infrastructure and new trading system and American Express Middle East where he headed the data centre, IT Operations and help desk. Hasan holds a B.Sc. degree in computer science. |

Adil AlHoori - Human Resources
A Business Management graduate Adil has recently achieved preparation of his MBA graduation in Human Resources. Before joining AFS as Senior Manager, Human Resources, Adil was Head of Training and Development of a leading construction group in Bahrain. During the four years in the HR role, Adil led the company’s sponsorship scholarship programme for one of the leading universities in France and managed to ensure that young Bahraini school graduates are chosen to study engineering in Paris.
Adil worked for 14 years in American Express across various departments in the Operations area including New Accounts, Credit and Collection, Customer Services and Establishment Services Department. |
